Kakinada Aditya Degree College observes ‘International Day of Yoga’

            Aditya Degree College, Kakinada observed ‘International Day of Yoga’. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu said that India is famous for following traditions and culture and Yoga is part of the culture. He said that apart from maintenance of the body, Yoga gives us the health and tones the body. He said that instead of relying on medicines, the students should lead their life based on Yoga and Asanas. On this occasion he appreciated the efforts of the Prime Minster Modi for organizing such a wonderful programme for entire world. He also said that we shall be proud that a day is created based on Yoga. On this occasion the students of Aditya Degree College participated in the Yogasanas programme from 7:00 to 7:45 in the morning. After this programme the students attended the ‘International Yoga Day’ conducted by Ayush Department and District Sports Authority at District Sports Centre, Kakinada.

The Vice Principal Dr. Maniprakash on the occasion said that many ailments can be cured with Yoga and Yoga means giving pleasure to the body. He opined that many people feel that yoga gives pain, infact it should give happiness to the body. He also said that since we are consuming various types of foods with preservatives and toxins, yoga is the best method to send those things out of the body. On this occasion he said that students should make the Yoga as part of their life.

The Chairman of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri N. Sesha Reddy and the Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy said that Yoga is the greatest gift given by our Ancestors and every one of us should practice it in order to be healthy for lifetime. They also opined that it is very sad that people are only realising this thing only after they get some health problem. The appreciated the NSS students volunteers and staff members for participating in this programme.

On the occasion of ‘International Day of Yoga’ the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu garlanded the photograph of Pathanjali Maharshi who made people follow yoga for curing their ailments. The students, teaching and non teaching staff members of Aditya Degree College participated in the programme. The Programme was organized by NSS Programme officers of Aditya Degree College, Kakinada Shri T. Tejeswara Rao and Shri L. Divakara Rao.
