One day Conference on Conservation Sciences conducted by Aditya Degree Colleges, Kakinada jointly with EGREE foundation and Wildlife Trust of India. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu said that through this conference eminent personalities in the field of Conservation sciences delivered lectures and such opportunities will give great chance of exposure for the life sciences students. He said that wildlife conservation has been the need of the hour and students should be able to learn from such experts through these conferences.

Chairman of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri N Sesha Reddy presided over the conference and in his opening remarks he said that when life sciences students meet such eminent researchers they can get inspired and can think of handling research on wildlife aspects. He on this occasion congratulated the organizers of the conference.

The Chief guest of the function and Chief Advisor of Wildlife Trust of India, Prof. B.C. Choudhury said that he had used all such opportunities in the field of life sciences and said that if students thinks positive there is nothing impossible. He on this occasion spoke in detail about different kinds of coastal environments, different kinds of plant and animals species available in the coastal areas, the importance of animal and plant species and important places in Coastal environment etc., was discussed in detail. He also informed that the research opportunities are better in terms of life sciences research he added.

Special guest of the function Advisor of EGREE foundation, Dr. Thulasi rao on this occasion gave a detailed account of Endangered species in the Coastal areas of East and West Godavari areas, the importance of species in agriculture, role of plants in food chain, soil erosion, role of Biologists in Environment protection etc., was discussed in detail. He also said that students should look forward for research opportunities in the field of biology. He also said that the students should concentrate on issues like Deforestation, Global warming and Ozone hole etc.,

The special guest of the function Conservation Biologist, Shri Satya Selavam said that if students start concentration on research sector, it is going to help the future generation a lot.

On this occasion an exhibition was conducted at Aditya Degree College. Models on Mangrove forests, Coastal area protection, Coastal area forest produce, Pollution Control activities, different species available in Mangrove forests etc., were shown as exhibits. A special exhibit of 50 ft Whale shark is a special attraction of the exhibition. Several species of turtles etc., being shown as models in the exhibition.

On this occasion several competitions like Essay writing, Power point presentation, Poster presentation, model making and quiz were conducted for the attended degree students.

In the valedictory function, the prizes were given away through the hands of the Chief Guest. The Prize winners were given with prizes, certificates and mementoes.

The programme was organized EGREE representative Shri Srikanth and by the life sciences faculty members Shri Suresh, Shri Rajkumar, Dr. Mastan, Shri Nagaraju, Shri Aruna, Shri Anil, Shri Gowtham, Kum. Madhavi Ratnapriya. The programme was attended by the Principal of Aditya Degree College for Women Smt. K. Karuna and the Vice Principal Dr. Maniprakash worked as the Organizing Secretary for the conference.
