HINDI DIWAS MATTER

Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to pay tribute to the official language of India as Hindi was adopted as the Official Language at constituent assembly on 14th September, 1949. The constitution of India adopted Hindi in Devanagari scripts as official language of the union order under article (343) in 1950.

Hindi Language belongs to Indo-Aryan branch of Indo-European language family. The World “Hindi”. Itself is a gift of Persian, Mughals added to its flavour, Amir Khusro was first to write Hindi poem though it evolved from Sanskrit but many of its words originated from Arabic or Persian Language.

Hindi is spoken in many parts of the world and its one of the main language in Mauritins, Swinam, Trinidad and any other including US, South Africa, New Zealand etc. Many of you would be Amazed to know that as per the statistics, Hindi is the second most spoken language of the world. George Bush proposed a budget of $ 114 million to make Hindi a part of curriculum, to be taught from Kindergarten to graduate level. India too mooted a strategy to make Hindi as one of the official language of united nation.

On the 64th Anniversary of adoption of Hindi as official language by the constitutional assembly “Hindi Day” distribution function is being organized on 13th September, 2014 in Aditya Degree College, Gopalapatnam. On this occasion different competitions like elocution, singing, Hindi shudh uccharan (tongue twister) have been conducted. On the 13th of September Saturday “P. Rama Rao” who served 35 years as a teacher, lecturer in various govt. organisations, as well as Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha Pracharak was the Chief Guest to the Hindi day celebrations, who motivated the students towards studies, inculcate the usage of the national language uses and advantages of it.

The Principal, K Murali Mohan Rao and Vice Principal, K. Janardhana Rao’s speech towards Hindi importance in their lives, the students were so motivated.

The HOD message towards students and their advantages of learning the national language was so inspiring.

After the addressing, our guest “P. Rama Rao” sir was felicitated with Shawl and Bouquet and a memento.

Thereafter the Hindi Souvenir named “YUVANVITI” which was written by HOD, Hindi students and HOD consisting of Kavitas, Stories, Chutkulas (Jokes) was released. The meaning of “YUVANVITI” is “The inner feeling of youth”.

The winners of the Hindi competitions were awarded with prizes further more cultural events like singing, kavita, jokes were participated by faculty and students. All the Hindi students and faculty of Aditya were the part of the celebrations. The celebrations were closed with snacks and mementos. The event was completed with the national song.
