On this occasion,The Academic Co-ordinator of Aditya Degree&PG Colleges Sri.B.E.V.L Naidu congratulated the prize winners and also said that Women are playing bigger and bigger role in economic field: as workers, consumers, entrepreneurs, managers and investors. We can now see women in almost every field: architecture, lawyers, financial services, engineering, medical and IT jobs. They have also entered service occupations such as a nurse, a beautician, a sales worker, a waitress, etc.,The facts about working wives suggest a basic change in Indian family. The traditional (nuclear) household, in which the husband works and the wife remains at home to care for the children, though still a dominant pattern, is changing gradually but steadily.A new pattern is emerging in which both partners work outside the home but do not share equally in housework and child care as we see in Western families. In India, the paternalistic attitude of the male has not undergone much change. In spite of such drawbacks and hurdles that still prevail, Indian women (especially educated) are no longer hesitant or apologetic about claiming a share and visibility within the family, at work, in public places, and in the public discourse.
He also opined that present scenario is not going to change, but yes the coming generations could definitely make a remarkable difference. The basic understanding that men and women are equal has to start at school levels. Education is a must for all. The government has to come up with strategies where every child gets education. With proper understanding, exploitation could be reduced to much extend. but they are also equally powerful and emotional and a great companion for men and the vice-versa should be made to understand. Once this understanding gets through, half the scenario changes.
On this occasion, The chairman of Aditya Educational Institutions Sri,N,Sesha Reddy said that Changes do not take place soon or easily, but if each one of us join hands in every possible way that we can and start to make little changes within the family from today, it would gradually get implemented and there would be a better society that respects and understands women, at least for our next generation and generations to come. Women could walk around freely, without the fear of being attacked at any time, anywhere. He lastly said that “Join hands and save women”.
The Secretaryof Aditya Educational Institutions Sri.N,Krishna Deepak Reddy congratulated the prize winners and Kum.P.Lakshmi Bhuvana,Lecturer in Commerce for this success.
