Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu said that Telugu is the address of all Telugu people and the language should be protected. He on this occasion said that the protection of the language is in the hands of the people. He on this occasion reminded of the great services of the King Krishnadevarayalu. The programme by Vemana Saraswata Vedika of Aditya Degree College was initiated with the song ‘Maa Telugu Talliki Malle poo danda’ and after that the famous telugu promoter Late Shri Gidugu Rammurthy was remembered and his photo was garlanded by the guests. Shri Naidu on the eve said that people are loosing interest on the mother tongue and degrading it and atleast on this occasion they should start showing their affection on it he added.

The Vice Principal of Aditya Degree College Dr. Maniprakash on this occasion said that the telugu traditions and culture should be promoted by following it and he gave a call to the students that the motives of Late Shri Gidugu must be carry forwarded to the next generation. He also said that with the same vigour we speak mother tongue, if we learn and speak other languages also, it will be great.

The Department Head of Telugu Shri T. Tejeswara Rao on this occasion said that great epics like Maha Bharath and Ramayan stood in the words of the people because of the mother tongue. He also said that the poets of Telugu are doing great work and helping in development of Telugu people.

The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy gave his wishes on the occasion of Mother Tongue day. The Vice Principal Dr. Maniprakash and the Head of the Department of Telugu Shri Tejeswara Rao and the students and faculty members participated in the programme. On the eve of Mother Tongue day Elocution competitions were conducted and the prize winners were given away mementoes and certificates through the hands of the guests.
