AN ECO FRIENDLY GANESHA AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AND RALLY @APSJKP

Our students conducted an Eco friendly Ganesha awareness Rally, carrying placards, colourful posters and clay Ganesha idols to create awareness among residents of Jagannaickpur about an eco friendly Ganesha festival, giving message to people to save environment. About 300 students from Std. VIII to X have participated actively in this awareness program. They raised slogans, explaining the ill effects of using idols made from plaster of Paris and its danger to the blue. They have covered all the major areas of jagannaickpur and main road. Some students  dressed as lord Ganesha and attracted the public with their attire. Students and the teachers of the school participated in it, visited house to house, distributed pamphlets and clay idols of Ganesha to the public,  shoppers and the V.I.Ps of the city.

The idea behind the rally is to create awareness in public to use Ganeshas without any chemicals and to use clay Ganeshas. We want to create awareness regarding the chemical hazards which harms the environment. Parents and Public expressed that they were enlightened and they would send the message of Eco Ganesha to their near and dear.

The entire awareness program has coordinated and led successfully by the principal Smt.B.Supraja Rani.
