BBC(Biotechnology) Student of Aditya Degree College For women, Kakinada Visit Central Tobacco Research Institute(CTRI),Rajahmundry.

The principal of Aditya Degree college for women. Mrs.K.Karuna said that Biotechnology students of Aditya Degree College for women, Kakinada visited the Central Tobacco Research Institute (CTRI), Rajahmundry. On this occasion, Mrs.K.Karuna flagged off the Industrial tour to Central Tobacco Research Institute(CTRI), Rajahmundry. The  second year Biotechnology students of Aditya Degree College for women participated in this visit.

The Head of Central Tobacco Research Institute(CTRI). Mr. Subbayya said that Indian Central Tobacco committee (ICTC)  established central tobacco Research institute (CTRI) in Rajahmundry in 1947.The Institute was under the administrative control of Indian Central Tobacco committee(ICTC), Madras from 1947 to 1965 and subsequently transferred to the Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR),New Delhi.

He  also said that today,The Institute is the biggest of its kind in Asia, well equipped with the most sophisticated instruments for carring out basic &applied Reseach. especially in the frontier areas like Biotechnology,Biochemistry &smoke Research at Rajahmundry. He showed the research labs and explained about advantages and Disadvantages of Tobacco.

The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Sri N.k.Deepak Reddy and Director of Aditya Educational Institutions Smt.N.Suguna Reddy appreciated the Biotechnalogy students and faculty members Smt.G.V.Tejaswini and Sri.y.Yedukondalu.
