Indigo is a Boston-based agricultural startup that has recently raised $100 Million for its ongoing research and commercial development of a major game-changing product for every farmer of the world. Agriculture has been redefined with the modern age practices creating many innovative products but in a traditional fashion. Its time when we unlearned what we already knew of agriculture and started back from scratch. This is what exactly Indigo has done.

The traditional approach of using pesticides and fertilizers according to requirement has been long overlooked and it was high time someone thought of undoing it. The new tech developed by Indigo involves the scientific fact that “Bacteria grows inside every plant and it can be put to good use to make the plants stronger from inside”. The endophytes that are packed along with the seeds of the plants carry the strengths of the parent pants which are a key resource in manufacturing the products of Indigo. Agriculture is one sector that will see tremendous growth in the upcoming future owing to the exponential rising of population and reducing cultivation lands. The focus shall be more on getting higher yields in the least cultivable areas. There is rising scarcity for Agricultural scientists and many more career opportunities in the area.
