    Edignite Igniting Young Minds

Are you getting ready for a competitive exam? Then, you might have the question, should I take coaching or not? Well, Edignite says that any competitive exam can easily be cracked by self-study with proper planning and smart-study methods.

It is true that competitive exams are not that easy to qualify, but it is also not something impossible. Most of the schools or coaching institutes just focus on teaching what to learn and when to learn but not on how to learn. So, it is very important to know how to self prepare for competitive exams and that too effectively.

Edignite offers some competitive exam preparation tips that can help you guide how to prepare for the entrance exams. So, you can use these tips while preparing for any competitive exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, AIIMS, and NEET, etc to achieve success.

Best tips to crack any competitive exams

Here are 7 ways of how to prepare for competitive exams by self-study.

    1. Have a shorter study period

Don’t keep your study period too long if you really want to succeed in an exam. It is really important to break your study sessions because studying too much at one go could really make you feel tired and frustrated. Study for two hours straight, take a break for 15-20 minutes and then get back again, this trick helps you to stay focused.

    2. Keep yourself far away from distractions

This is one of the important tips that you should consider while preparing for competitive exams. Remember that you should be far away from any sort of potential distraction when studying for an exam. Put your mobile on silent mode and place it at the other end of the room. Turn off internet access and prioritize your tasks. Move to the place where you find peace and privacy.

    3. Study during the early hours of the day

When you are on the way to crack competitive exams, the best thing you can do is study during the early hours especially difficult topics. Research also suggests that the best time to study is in the morning with a fresh mind. So, make sure you have got enough night’s sleep so that you wake up early in the morning and cover the important topics.

    4. Drink coffee

Want to do well in exams? You must take care of small things like drinking tea or coffee. It’s not that you have to drink 4 cups of coffee a day. Make sure you drink one cup of coffee when trying to solve some complex problems and you feel dizziness. When you prefer tea, there are various options like herbal tea or green tea that makes you feel refreshed.

    5. Don’t study at odd times

Edignite suggests that you not to study at odd times, it means sitting with books when you are sleepy is a waste of time. Students usually feel tired and exhausted to study for an hour or two after having meals. If you are one of those, then make sure you have a proper study schedule. Prepare a note from beforehand, get a nap and then come back to study.

    6. Get a proper diet

While you are preparing for exams, maintaining a healthy diet that boosts your brain power can help you make much better in exams. However, a long exam is like a mental marathon in which endurance is difficult. So, adding the right foods like fruits, vegetables to the diet can energize your system, improve your alertness and sustain you through the exam season.

    7. Don’t get stressed

Finally, Edignite would suggest you not to stress out when you are preparing for entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE advanced, etc. We believe that exams time can bring on levels of stress and anxiety that can hinder your studies. But, it is important to manage your stress and eliminate the risk. Just stay calm, study hard, save enough time for revision and do your best in the exams.

Edignite hopes you find some benefits from these methods and crack any competitive exams in the future. Good luck and all the best!
