Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is a national level examination conducted for engineering aspirants to provide admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs. National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released the JEE Main 2020 exam dates. NTA will conduct JEE main from January 6 to 11, 2020 while the April session exams will be held from April 3 to 9.
NTA has also announced that the application process for JEE Main 2020 January exams will begin from 3rd September 2019. Candidates can fill and submit the application form at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit the application form will be 30th September 2019.
Any corrections in the JEE Main 2020 application form will be done from 11th to 17th October 2019. JEE Main admit card 2020 will be available for download on 6th December 2019.

JEE Main 2020 Slots Timings
National Testing Agency (NTA) will randomly allocate the date, shift, and timings for JEE Main January 2020 to all registered candidates. Therefore, the candidates will not be able to book the time slot of JEE Main 2020. The JEE Main exam 2020 Paper-I (B.E / B.Tech) will be held in two shifts, Morning (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Evening (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM) in computer-based mode only.
The JEE Main Paper-II (B.Arch / B. Plan)) will also be conducted in computer-based mode, however, the drawing test will be held in offline (pen and paper-based mode).
JEE Main Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for JEE Main 2020, candidates should meet the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2020, such as educational qualifications, age limit, and a number of attempts, etc. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria should not register for the JEE Main exam.,/p>
JEE Main 2020 exam events – Important Dates
- On-line submission of Application Form: For the January session, the registration process starts on 3rd September and ends on 30th September 2019 (up to 11:50 PM).
- Successful transaction of fee: Candidates can pay the exam fee online (through credit card/debit card/ Net banking/UPI and Paytm services) from 3rd September to 1st October 2019.
- Dates of Examination: The JEE Main January 2020 exams will be conducted by NTA from 6th January (Monday) to 11th January (Saturday) 2020.
- Declaration of the result: The JEE Main 2020 January exam result will be declared by NTA on 31st January 2020.

Is NTA going to organize JEE Main this year too?
Yes, National Testing Agency will be responsible for conducting JEE Mains 2020. All the exam-related procedures will be scheduled by NTA authorities.

What is a new change in JEE Main 2020?
NTA has announced that Paper-II of JEE Main 2020 will be conducted separately for candidates of B Arch and B.Plan. Instead of drawing section, candidates of B.Plan examination will have questions on planning. The application process has also changed by NTA and fees can be paid only in online mode.

How many attempts can I do in JEE?
According to NTA, a candidate can attempt JEE Main exam twice in a particular academic session (since the examination is held twice a year). However, as per age and eligibility criteria for JEE Main, a candidate can apply for 3 consecutive years( 6 times).

The candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their recent photograph and signature in the JEE main 2020 application form.

If I give the exam both times in a year, which scores will be considered?
This will be purely the candidate’s choice to give one attempt or two. In case they have attempted both the exams, the better one of two scores will be considered for the ranking.

JEE Main 2020 mock tests will be available in online mode. Mock tests that will be announced soon can be downloaded by the students who can write a test at their workplace with the computer.
