The National Testing Agency, NTA  has announced that it will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or  NEET(UG) -2021 on August 1st. However, the release date of the NEET-UG 2021 application form has not been announced yet. NTA states that the online registration for NEET 2021 will begin very soon, probably in March.

NEET UG 2021 registration process will start at https://ntaneet.nic.in/ and only those who fulfill the eligibility criteria of NEET 2021 will be allowed to apply. Apart from this, to ensure successful registration, candidates must enter their details correctly, pay the application fee, and upload required documents in a prescribed format.

Edignite, here listed the documents that candidates need to keep ready for NEET-UG 2021 registration.

    1. Passport size photograph

In the NEET application, candidates have to upload a scanned image of their passport size photo. It must be of size between 10 kb to 200 kb and should be in JPG format. The photograph must be taken recently i.e; after the date specified by NTA in the NEET 2021 information bulletin. It should be a colored photo with a white background.

    2. Postcard size photograph

Also, keep ready a postcard size photo which should be 4 x 6 inches. It is to be uploaded as a JPG file with a size between 50 kb to 300 kb and should be colored. It is important to note that computer-generated photos will not be accepted for NEET 2021 application. The same photographs are also used in the NEET admit card and pasted on the attendance sheet as well. Thus, candidates must keep 6 to 8 copies of photographs.

    3. Scanned copy of the signature

Like the photograph, candidates also need to upload a scanned copy of their signature in the NEET application form 2021. The signature is to be written on white paper and ensure that the signature is not in all capital letters.  It should be in running or cursive handwriting.

    4. Left-hand thumb impression

Candidates who are applying for NEET 2021 have to upload a thumb impression as well. They should take their left-hand thumb, dip it in ink, and compress it on white paper. Then scan it and crop it as a rectangle box around the impression and save it as a JPG file to upload in the NEET 2021 online application form.

    5. Class 10 certificate

This is the certificate that candidates get from the education board after passing class 10 examinations. Scan class 10  certificate and save it as a file of size between 100 kb to 400 kb to upload in the online NEET 2021application form.

Apart from these documents, candidates will also need class 10 and 12 mark sheets, identity proof, and payment details, etc while filling the application form of NEET 2021. This is for reference purposes and is not to be uploaded in the application form.
