DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM TECHNOLOGY
Andhra Pradesh is well known for its Petroleum resources as one of the biggest petroliferous basin of the world known as KG basin endows the state. The basin expands all along the coast of AP in the east coast of India, and lies merely 30km from ADITYA. Taking this advantage of being in the vicinity of major oil and gas players within KG basin, ADITYA stands first to introduce B.Tech in Petroleum Technology in the state, actively fed by the experts around us in KG basin and across.
Academics
Undergraduate:
The institute has introduced B.Tech Petroleum Technology course to meet the growing demand of skilled human resource in Petroleum Industry. The course enables students to develop a good foundation of petroleum ventures well in time.
Visiting Faculty
To get us updated in curriculum in accordance to industry demands we have a queue of visiting faculties from RIL, GSPC, ONGC, IOCL, INTERTEK etc. other than the bench of qualified and skilled regular faculties in the school.
Labs and Facilities
Students have access to every facility in the form of in house library endowed with latest and updated versions of books and journals along with six well equipped laboratories viz; Geology Lab, Rock Museum, Rock-Eval Lab, Seismic work station Lab, Petroleum Analysis Lab, Petroleum Engineering lab.
Career Opportunities
An Engineering Degree in Petroleum offers an exhaustive absorption of graduates as Drilling Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, Completion Engineers, Production Engineers, Process and Design Engineers, in addition to the basic engineering professions like Geo-Engineers, Acquisition-Engineers, Field Engineers etc.
Industrial Links
ONGC is the oldest Oil & Gas E&Ps of the country. It is the Maharatna PSU of India having six out of the seven producing basins of India including KG Basin on east coast of India. It also bears production share with other E & P’s under PSC for example RIL, CAIRN ENERGY, GSPC, HERAMAC etc. KG basin is among the biggest assets of ONGC headquartered in Chennai. The KG Basin commonly known as Rajahmundry asset which is near to organizes trainings and workshops for both faculty and students, where we have recorded our active participations from time to time.
