To bridge the gap and make students globally competitive and employable, APSSDC – Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation in collaboration with German multinational conglomerate, SIEMENS has set up 6 centers of excellence (COE) clusters across the state. The COEs are setup in engineering colleges or Universities and each of the 6 COEs has five technical skills development institutes (t-SDI) to make a cluster. Satisfying the criteria like state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities, audit, hostels, transport, qualifies and trained staff etc. Aditya has been selected as one of the t-SDIs which focuses on developing the students’ skills in a combination of three different trades – Design/CBT, Manufacturing(CNC), Electrical Lab (Home Applications), Manufacturing Lab(Welding), Automobile 4W, Automobile 2W, Electrical (R&AC). This training program addresses the visible gaps that prevail in the delivery of fundamental and lab-oriented courses through interactive hands-on training by experts from industry/Universities and practice sessions under the guidance of expert faculty. Besides training the in-house students, the training facilitates learning by students of other colleges in the vicinity. Students who go through this training would be confident, future ready and be picked by companies for advanced technology jobs.
