NEET preparation for droppers can be tricky. They have already covered the syllabus and appeared for many mock tests. What new can they do to crack NEET? Keep reading.

Appearing for any entrance examination, more than once can be challenging for many students. Those in their dropper year do not understand how to start preparing for the examination for which they thought they had done enough. They often forget to ask themselves some questions before embarking on the journey of NEET preparation again.

Edignite, in this article, help droppers formulate a preparation strategy that will not let them down. Follow these experts’ suggested NEET preparation tips in order to pursue medical courses.

    1. Knowing what went wrong

The first NEET preparation tip for droppers is to find what went wrong in the previous preparation. Make a note of all the things that are responsible for a low score in the last NEET attempt. Be honest and recognize your weaknesses, so that you will be able to overcome them and perform better in the next attempt.

    2. Learning from mistakes

Now that you have made a list of reasons that gave you a poor score in NEET exam, right? Well, if you feel that you did not spend enough time on revision, now it’s a chance to make that right. Or if you feel if you still have unclear topics in the NEET syllabus, then start working on them. Just aim to not leave any reasons that will pull you down the next time.

    3. A new pattern towards preparation

If you do not have a mentor to guide for NEET preparation, now is the time to find one. Because you ave already attempted NEET you are familiar with syllabus and exam pattern. You have probably solved previous years NEET question papers. So, where you should the preparation this time? Edignite will offer you tips to gain a new perspective on NEET preparation.

    4. Change the timetable

Many of the students must have enrolled in the NEET coaching institutes. But, for those in the dropper year a self-study plays a major role in the preparation. Prepare a new timetable by considering the time spent at the coaching center and self-study. Dedicate at least 6-8 hours for self-study. Maintaining a proper time table and getting on it helps NEET droppers a lot.

    5. Stay positive and focused

The biggest challenge for NEET droppers is to remain focused. Never compare yourself to others. Stay connected with your friends but refrain from discussing your preparation with them. Seek guidance from only those who have adequate knowledge of NEET preparation. Edignite suggests that staying positive is important during the NEET 2020 preparation phase.

    6. Bridging the gaps

During the first half of the dropper year, try to bridge the gaps in your NEET exam preparation. Finish the NEET 2020 syllabus by covering the chapters that are left in the last attempt. Clear the doubts that were carried forward and focus on the topics that are weak and need improvement. Most importantly, do not overlook revision.

    7. Many mock tests

Solving multiple mock tests during the last six months of your NEET preparation helps to crack the NEET easily. Solve at least two monk tests per weak. This is because mock tests will give you the exposure to questions of varying difficulty levels. It helps you strengthen your NEET preparation strategy and will prepare you for the exam day.

Edignite suggests to go through the previous NEET question papers and build your confidence. Best wishes!
