ICC - Vision
  • To ensure the implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow up procedures. To up hold the commitment of the Institute to provide an environment free of gender based discrimination.
Objectives
The primary aim of ICC is:
  • To provide safe workplace
  • To develop a policy against sexual harassment for women ADCK
  • To ensure the implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow up procedures
  • To up hold the commitment of the Institution to provide an environment free of gender based discrimination.
  • To promote a social and psychological environment to raise awareness on sexual harassment.
Functions of the ICC are:
  • Prevent discrimination and sexual harassment by promoting gender amity among students and employees.
  • Make recommendations to he management for changes/elaborations in the rules for students in the prospectus and Bye laws,to make them gender just and lay down  procedures for  the prohibition,resolution,settlement and prosecution of acts of discrimination and sexual harassment,by the students and the employees.  
  • Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women,in a time bound manner ,aiming at ensuring support services to the  victimized and termination of the harassment..
The Role of the ICC Coordinator
  • The role of the coordinator of the ICC is crucial in ensuring the effective functioning of all the members.
  • The coordinator of the ICC may be a senior/competent person with experience and exposure in dealing with complaints and sexual harassment issues at work place.
  • She may be a full-time functionary or, to start with, she may be a senior academic /administrator entrusted with the ICC as an additional responsibility.
  • To receive and redress the complaints of sexual harassment.
  • To form a internal complaints committee to deal with the internal issues related to gender discrepancy.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF FACULTY MEMBERS
  • To coordinate the ICC initiatives to ensure safety of women in the institution.
  • To coordinate in the various complaints and issues in the institution or at the work place.
  • The membership of such nominated members shall be for a period of three years. The ICC should meet at least once in every quarter. The quorum for the meeting shall be two-third of the total number of members. The agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained electronically in a retrievable format.
The ICC shall have the following composition
  • Chairperson - Principal
  • Five Teachers - Member
  • Three Students - Member
  • One of the senior teachers as the Coordinator of the ICC: Coordinator
