Library Profile

The Aditya Degree College- P.G. Courses Library was established in 1998 with the objective to facilitate learning, teaching, research, training and consultancy activities at the Institute and spread over 634 sqm on ground floor of Block 2, Aditya Degree College- P.G. Courses Library.

The Library acts as a key resource and learning center of the college to meet the information needs of its clientele for the growth and overall development of the college. Library caters to the information needs of more than 1,600 users of various groups of science graduate students, commerce & management students and P.G. Students. The library has adopted an open access system so as to facilitate readers to have easy access to the library resources.

The Library is furnished with highly sophisticated and the state-of-art facilities. It provides online resources as well as digital resources. It has adopted Auto Lib software for library operations.

Library is divided into different sections like Lending Section, Reference Section, Circulation Counter, Check Counter, OPAC – Open Public Access Catalogue Section, Staff Area, Reading Section, Periodical Section, Digital Library etc.

The Libraries offer basic services like library membership, circulation, reading facility, reference service, referral service, Inter library loan facility, photocopy service and many value-added services like, computerized information search, current awareness services, Selective Dissemination of Information (on demand service) and conduct few user education programmes. Access is also enabled for institutes’ newspaper clippings, current content page of print periodicals, and previous years' examination question papers through student login.

The Library is an Institution Member of Developing Library Network (DELNET), INFLIBNET- NLIST.
