Constitution of Socio-Economically Disadvantages Group Cell (SEDGC)
As per the guidelines of UGC, Aditya Degree College is establishing Socio-Economically Disadvantages Group Cell with immediate effect; with the following composition of Committee to ensure that students belonging to Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) have a safe and secure environment and equitable access to quality education, SEDGC shall promote, circulate, publicize, facilitate, and monitor the implementation of all UGC and Government guidelines and instructions issued from time to time in reference to SEDGS.

Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group (SEDG) Cell Guidelines
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDG) Cell is a dedicated body established in Educational Institutions to support and empower students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The cell of the Institution aims to create more inclusive educational environment by providing guidance and support systems that help students overcome the challenges they may face in academic and social settings. The SEDG Cell thus identifies eligible students based on socio-economic indicators and then offers programmes that range from mentorship to academic counseling and Skill Development workshops that helps address specific needs.
At, Aditya Degree & P.G College, the Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group (SEDG) Cell, is committed to fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds. The cell functions as a dedicated support system to ensure that students from underprivileged sections of society can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
Objectives:
Empowerment:
Provide holistic support to socio-economically disadvantaged students to help them excel in academics and beyond.
Awareness:
Create awareness about various government and institutional schemes, Window scholarships, and opportunities available to SEDG students.
Skill Development:
Organize training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance employability and personal development.
Support System:
Establish a h5 support network to address challenges related to finances, academics, and mental health
Key Activities:
1. Financial Assistance: Guidance on availing scholarships, fee waivers, and education loans.
2. Academic Support: Remedial classes, peer tutoring, and access to additional learning resources.
3. Skill-Building Programs: Tailored workshops on soft skills, technical skills, and career readiness
. 4. Awareness Campaigns: Sessions on government and private schemes beneficial for socio-economically disadvantaged students.
5. Counseling Services: Psychological and career counseling to ensure the well-being and holistic development of students.
