Forensic Science lecture on "Recent Trends in Cyber Security and Safety Measures"
The Forensic Science Department of Aditya Degree and PG College organized informative guest lecture on "Recent Trends in Cyber Security and Safety Measures"on 17th February 2023. The venue chosen for the event was ACET Seminar hall, Aditya campus. It was one session event.
Session on "Recent Trends in Cyber Security & Safety Measurements."
The program commenced by Jyoti Prajwalna, the lamp lighting ceremony by 9:30 am followed by welcoming and felicitation of the guest Dr. A. S. N. Chakravarthy, Professor (CSE), JNTU, Kakinada by Mrs. G. Shanthi, HOD Cyber Forensics.
The students were addressed by Principal Mr. Vilas Chavan with a brief outline of the need for day’s program and the necessity for legal knowledge & awareness regarding cybercrimes.
The lecture commenced at 10:15 am by Dr. A. S. N. Chakravarthy on “Recent Trends in Cyber Security & Safety Measurements.”
The following were the main points:
- What is Cyber Forensics & what are various crimes?
- Case studies related to Cyber Crimes.
- His personal experience with various cybercrimes.
- What are the laws applicable?
- Initiatives taken by Government of India for Cybercrimes.
His speech was very inspiring and thought invoking for all student and staff. The guest lecture was filled with case studies and posed plenty of questions to students invoking them to think critically.
The seminar came to an end by vote of thanks by Mrs. G. Shanthi by 12:40 pm.
The audience then dispersed.
