On 7th March 2023, the International Woman’s Day was celebrated grandly in the seminar hall of Forensic Science Department of Aditya Degree & PG College, Surampalem.
At 1:30 pm, all 1st year, 3rd year & PG students along with the staff gathered in the seminar hall to celebrate the day.
It was joyous occasion where all, the principal, staffs and students honored all the woman faculties.
The event started with a devotional song sung by Chandralekha, student of 1st year. It was followed by a classical dance by Sathwika & Swetha, students of 1st year.
Then the gathering was addressed by the principal, Mr. Vilas Anil Chavan, who by his speech created awareness among the audience regarding the equality of woman with man.
From the woman faculty, Mrs. Santhi gave a speech on "The importance of woman in society and family." The cultural event followed immediately where students exhibited their skills and talents by performing energetic dance sequence and solo songs.
The students enacted a skit for the special occasion which had the theme, "Don't be discourage, have good motivation."
Before the conclusion of program, Shri B.K. Vidyasagar was called up on to give a speech. In his speech he opened the minds of students by telling the examples of how woman have started to play important role in Army, Navy, Airforce etc.
Series of games were played to encourage the woman faculties of the department.
After games, Miss. Arpita Singh, enlightened everyone in the gathering with her speech on "How woman deals with situations?".
After that, mementos were given to the woman faculties of the college. Snack and refreshments were provided under the expert hospitality of the 1st year students.
The grand celebration ended with the vote of thanks by Vaishnavi, 1st year student, where she expressed her gratitude for the management for giving permission to celebrate woman's day in the college.
The Principal, Shri. Vilas Anil Chavan, was also appreciated for taking of the initiative to honor all the woman faculty on this special day.
The students and the staff then dispersed after singing National Anthem.
