Aditya degree college for women, Kakinada has got a strong penchant to provide high quality education to all its students by ensuring a pleasant, joyful, informative and interactive learning environment. All the students admitted to the college are protected by the institution from the thread of ragging. Ragging on the college premises is strictly band and any student who is found to indulge in such obnoxious and invidious practices shall face stringent disciplinary actions such as rustication from the college, criminal consequences and legal actions. An anti ragging committee with the principal of the college as the head of the committee and senior faculty members as the members of the committe has been constituted by the management to monitor the behaviour of the students on the college premises.
Objectives/functions of antiragging committee :-
- To form antiragging squads for each department to monitor the performance of students.
- To provide counselling to all the newly admitted students of the college by inviting professional counsellors.
- To create awareness among the freshers about legal affidavits and the laws prohibiting ragging.
- To apprise the students of the severe consequences of ragging.
- To conduct wide publicity campaigns to create awareness against ragging.
- To make surprise inspections of the rooms in the hostel.
- To conduct an instantaneous and spontaneous enquiry into the incidents of ragging.
- To prepare a detailed report of the enquiry.
- To submit the report to the antiragging committee along with recommendations, suggestions and solutions.
- To constitute a grievance redressal committee.
- To create awareness among the students about the commitment and seriousness of the management to prevent the incidents of ragging in the college, to ensure a pleasant, joyful, informative and interactive learning environment to all the students and to establish brand image in the field of degree education.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Chairman
- To create self-confidence and congenial environment among the newly admitted students by way of conducting frequent interactive sessions to clear the doubts related to academic matters, social interaction and compatibility.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Convener
- Based on the first hand information and prime-facie evidence, the convener submits report to the Principal for necessary disciplinary action. Severe punishment will be recommended on the accused, if proven.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Faculty Members
- Faculty is deputed at various locations inside the college campus to monitor the student activities. Members sees that no student groups are formed and if any are observed, the group is dispersed to avoid any nuisance. The punishment for ragging is displayed at various places to make the students aware of seriousness of the administration for preventing ragging. To conduct an enquiry and identify the culprits on receipt of complaint.
