Information technology (IT) is one of the significant inventions of the 21^st century. Globalization and the recent advancement in the fields of science and technology and research and development have made a significant , laudable and commendable contribution to the emergence of information technology as the major field of science and technology. It has revolutionized all fields of science and technology. Today we can hardly imagine a sector which does not require the applications of IT. Like all other fields, the field of education must also be mentioned to have been revolutionized by the impact of IT. IT provides the field of education with an excellent platform to have an international access which is the most significant prerequisite in the today’s globalized world. Considering the excellent applications of IT in the field of degree education and excellent employment opportunities for IT students, Aditya Degree College for Women, Kakinada has introduced several new courses on computer science to produce competent and employable students to cater to the requirements of the corporates of the 21^st century.

When a large number of students are admitted to an educational institution to pursue their education and realize their dreams and aspirations, they must have a proper mechanism to bring their grievances, if any, to the notice of the management ,to offer their valuable suggestions to the notice of the management and to come to know the comprehensive information about the institution. In order to enable the students to bring their grievances to the perusal of the management, to offer their suggestions to the perusal of the management and to get a comprehensive idea about the institution, Aditya Degree College for Women, Kakinada has developed its own website (www.aditya.ac.in/awdckkd) to enable the whole world to have its access to the college and to get comprehensive information about the college.

A website development and maintenance committee with the following members as the members of the committee has been constituted by the principal of aditya degree college for women, Kakinada.

Roles & Responsibilities of Chairman

To supervise all aspects of the website committee including updating content, training users, and troubleshooting technical issues for the organization website.
To supervise and make recommendations to remove obsolete or add new features as needed.
To allocate the list of faculties & Students to make and utilize their knowledge and support to involve in Website Maintenance & Development Committee.

Roles & Responsibilities of Convener

To coordinate with website committee faculty members, Technical Member to conduct the meetings, discussing about any website updating, taking suggestions from higher level or management for website updation.
To coordinate the Dept-wise website committee faculty members that the information from Dept-wise/college events to be collected with detailed programme & photographs shall be mailed website@aditya.ac.in.
To coordinate the Web development technical member to place the data appropriately on the website.
To coordinate and updated the website regularly, For all the completed events, a detailed report along with photographs and news-paper clippings shall be mailed within 2 days of completion of the event/program. It is also required to mention the appropriate location where the information is to be hosted on the website.

Roles & Responsibilities of Co-Convener &Technical Member

To coordinate and updated the website regularly.
For all the completed events, a detailed report along with photographs and news-paper clippings to be verified, collected and converted in to appropriate formats, and also required to mention the appropriate location where the information is to be hosted on the website.
Dept-wise/college events to be collected with detailed programme & photographs from website@aditya.ac.in
To Maintain and manage the website data backup & restoring process for all the related college events, reports, photographs etc.
To identify and implement the website more effectively by using themes, and plug-in.

Roles & Responsibilities of Faculty Members

To collect and follow up the data with photos from concerned event coordinators in Dept-wise or College events/programs conducted on dept-wise.
To verify the data collected from concerned event coordinators and make the data alignment or additions(if missing) with photos and final data to be submitted to website technical member through website@aditya.ac.in
To collect the final data from Department wise website committee faculty members, the website technical member & coordinator suggested if any requirements or modifications needed. After modifications then the data to be hosted in college website.
