“International Day for the aged” observed by Aditya Degree College students

            International Day for the aged observed by Aditya Degree College students. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator of Aditya Degree and PG Colleges, Shri BEVL Naidu said that Aged people are being neglected and he opined that they should be properly treated. He informed Aditya Degree Colleges are following a tradition of distribution of new clothes and food materials to aged people on this occasion for the past 12 years. He also informed that the management of Aditya is kind enough to sponsor such event.

This year on this occasion, new blankets and sweets were distributed to the aged and needy in the surroundings and streets of Kakinada bus stand, the flyover, the old age homes and other places. The NSS student volunteers along with the NSS programme officer Shri T. Tejeswara Rao visited the old age home and distributed the blankets and also the sweets to the aged persons.

The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri N. Krishan Deepak Reddy and the Director Smt. N. Suguna Reddy on this occasion appreciated the efforts of NSS student volunteers and opined that the students should participate in such events to get satisfaction of life. They also opined that while doing such service activities they are also getting satisfaction. On this occasion they appreciated the efforts of the NSS student volunteers.

Dr.Syamala, patron of this celebration said this day has been celebrated for the last 12 years and this is the 13th year. She congratulated the Aditya management for distributing new blankets and delicious sweets to the old people.

Dr. A .Mani prakash , Vice Principal, Smt.Karuna, Principal Aditya degree college for women, NSS program officers Sri. Tejeswara Rao, Sri. L. Divakar rao, were present in this event.
