English Week Long Activities@apsamp

Excellent, Enriching, Experiencing of the English Language!
In Commemoration of George Bernard Shaw’s Birth Anniversary, English week was observed with week long activities. Rhymes, melodious Songs in English, Some Facts, Authors, Important aspects in English , skits, dances, write ups were well presented.
An Act from Shakespeare’s play “ Merchant of Venice” highlighted the importance of humble attitude, simplicity & Courteous behaviour. Songs sung by the seniors were rendered melodiously. The Skit on “Tenses” Presented in an entertaining way attracted everyone’s attention which educated the students about usage of tenses.The tiny tots programmes mesmerised. The students with their cute actions and their movements.Presented Phonic song and Rhymes very well.
Competitions were held from L.K.G to X standard in connection with English activities. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
The Principal Smt.Jayalakshmi and the Vice Principal Smt. Vijaya Gowri appreciated the activities presented by the Children. The Principal expressed that English as a Global language has a ‘Reach’ in the Present World of Computers and Internet. She advised the students to inculcate reading habits and enrich the Literary Skills and General knowledge.
