SHIVARATRI CELEBRATIONS@apsamp

Shivaratri celebrations were observed with devotion by giving the importance of the day and the rituals performed during the day. The significance of observing fasting and its health benefits were explained. Pancharamas the Pilgrimage centres and the type of deity and Kasi Visistatha described the various forms of Lord Shiva. Melodious devotional songs were sung. The skit Lingodbhavam mesmerised the audience.
The Principal Smt. Jayalakshmi said that such celebrations inculcate observation of tradition, rituals and respecting our heritage.
