The 73^rd IndependenceDay was celebrated with unprecedented Patriotic fevour. The gamut celebration activites held on the campus consisted special morning assembly and impressive march past in the presence of Honourable Chief Guest Sri.Kudupudi Chittabbai, former MLA. The Chief Guest hoisted the Tricolour. The National Anthem echoed the entire campus. Sri Chittabbai gave powerful speech on the occasion. He also spoke about the significance of the Historic day. He advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country. The group song filled all of them with Patriotism. One act play highlighting the freedom fighters, Brave Heroes skit brought patriotic fevour to everyone’s eyes. Yajwin of std-X threw light on the struggle for the freedom of India. The significance on On 73rd Independence Day of India, for the first time Indian Flag will be hoisted in J&K. BJP has announced to celebrate “Jashn-e-Azadi” on this occasion.The Lieutenant colonel and Indian Cricket Player Mahendra Singh Dhoni will infurl Indian Nation Flag in Leh on this day.He concluded saying,” Let us celebrate this Independence Day to commemorate the indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters and political patrons of that time. It is because of them that we enjoy the fruits of freedom today.”

The programme continued with Speech in tri language, dance and eye catching Pyramid formations by the students of class – IV & V.

August 15,2019 is also a day to be celebrated for brotherhood. The festival Raksha Bandhan reflects the bond of affection, love,care of the relation between brother and sister. Primary students celebrated this festival by tieing the sacred thread of Rakhi expressed their love to one and other.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

In connection with the 73^rd Independence Day, Competitions on different topics and categories were organized in the campus. Elocution for classes III to VI, Games for Pre-Primary classes ,Art and craft activity for I & II classes, Seminar and Quiz programme for the IIT students were conducted. The Chief Guest gave away the Prizes to all the winners and congratulated them. IIT Principal Mr.RAMESH gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. Speaking on this occasion Primary Principal K.Lakshmidevi said that, No wonder, India is incredible and recapitulated the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that we should serve our motherland India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds .Finally the guest was honored with Memento presentation and the function came to an end with distribution of sweets to the students.
