52nd NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATIONS OPENING CEREMONY @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

Since 1968, 14th to 20th November is being celebrated as the National Library Week all over India. On account of this, various programs are held to enhance the importance of Libraries in the public. 52nd Library Week Celebrations were started in Aditya Degree College by Dr.B.E.V.L Naidu, Academic Director by garlanding the photo of Padmasri Dr.S.R.Ranganadhan, father of Library Science. Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Naidu said that though the technology has developed to an extreme level, the value of the books did not change in one’s life. He also said that all competitive books are being provided for the students along with the Digital library at Aditya Degree College. He gave a call to all the students to participate in Library Week Celebrations. Sri.V.R.Prabhakar, Chief Librarian said that competitions such as painting, Essay writing and Elocution are being organized to bring out the talents of the students in respect to the library week. He also said that the prizes for the winners will be distributed on 20th November.Dr.N.SeshaReddy, Chairman; Sri.N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Secretary, Aditya Educational Institutions, appreciated the Librarians for conducting the National Library Week. Sri.Ch.V.V.Satyanarayana, Vice-Principal; Librarians Sri.G.Nerella Reddy, Smt.S.V.Manjularani, Sri.K.Suryanarayana, Sri.P.Polarao and Sri.S.Arun participated in this program.
