ADIKAVI NANNAYA UNIVERSITY FENCING CHAMPIONSHIP 2019-20 @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

AKNU Inter Collegiate Men & Women Fencing Championship and the selections for the Nationals 2019-20 was held at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada. This Tournament was started by the lightening of lamp, a prayer song and the Anthem of AKNU. Addressing the Players the President of the Tournament, Academic Director, Dr.B.E.V.L Naidu told that sports help the students to build up strong mind, a healthy personality and a good exercise. He thanked the Fencing Selection Board of AKNU for giving an opportunity for hosting AKNU Inter Collegiate Men & Women Fencing Championship 2019-20 competitions at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada. The Chief Guest of the program Dr.Bhimarao, D.S.P of C.C.S, stated that Fencing is a great sport where Men and especially Women definitely have to learn to protect themselves in this present Society which is going ruthless. He also stated that Sports enhance the inter Personal skills, the societal move of the student and would also offer good opportunities like Job, Respect etc. The Guest of Honor Sri.N.Krishna Deepak Reddy stated that Aditya Institutions always encourages the students to excel in the sports and he thanked the AKNU for selecting Aditya to host the  Intercollegiate Fencing Championship. He congratulated the students and appreciated them for participating in this tournament. Later, the dignitaries declare opened the Tournament a midst the observers, judges and the players by cutting a ribbon. Players from different 14 colleges participated in the Tournament with Sri.N.Krishnamanohar, Secretary, Fencing Association, W.G.Dt and Sri.G.Satish Babu, Secretary, Fencing Association, E.G.Dt turned  up as the referees; Sri. S.V.L.G.Varma, Physical Director, Ideal College, as University Observer; Sri. P.A.Kishore Babu, Physical Director, SKVT College and Smt.N.Satyavathi, Physical Director, Aditya Degree College for Women, as the selection committee members. The winners of the Tournament and the University team were given medals and trophies through the hands of Dr.B.E.V.L Naidu. The Chairman of Aditya Group of Educational Institutions, Dr.N.Sesha Reddy, Secretary, Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Vice-Principal, Sri Ch.V.V.Satyanarayana congratulated the winners.  Physical Director, Rangaraya Medical College, Dr.Sparjan Raju, Physical Director, Ideal College S.V.L.G.Varma,  Physical Director, Aditya Degree College, Sri P.Srinu, N.Murthy, Campus Incharge, Aditya Degree College and the Physical Directors of other colleges participated.
