Sankranthi celebrations are celebrated with great Zeal and vigor.  It was a colourful yet traditional celebration indeed. All the people were in a festive mood and gathered in the assembly squad and the ground to witness and enjoy the program. The dignitaries and parents are invited with the procession of kolatam. The stage was embellished with flowers and rangolis to mark the celebration. The idols of Godess Lakshmi was adorned in the midst with flowers and fruits. The program started with lighting with lamp by honourable chairman Sri N.Sesha Reddy, The chief guest Smt.B.Supriya SI of Police Kakinada, Principal and ideal parents. The significance of pongal was briefed by std X girls with immense devotion. The class VIII and IX girls gave detailed information about Bhogi followed by the song  gobbiyallo. The chief guest expressed her heartfelt motivational measures with the gathering. The preparatory and nursery children sought blessings from the teachers and elders. The celebrations reflected village atmosphere that included ‘Bhogipallu sambaralu’ the whole campus turned as a mini sankranthi village highlighted with the presentation of ‘rangavallulu’ and ‘haridas keerthanalu’. Many traditional games like Kabaddi, edupenkulata, rangavallulu, one minute games, oppulakuppa etc. have been conducted for parents in an innovative way and they won many more prizes at the spot itself. Telugu traditional and ritual food ‘pulihora, daddojanam, chakkerapongali and kattupongali have been served to the gathering. Sri N.Sesha Reddy, Smt. N.Lakshmi Rajyam Madam, Smt.N.Shruthi Reddy, Smt.N.Suguna Reddy Madam enjoyed the festive mood and blessed the little kids. They gave away the prizes to the winners of the games. Principal Smt.B.Supraja Rani expressed that the sankranthi celebrations in school make students acquainted of Telugu culture and tradition and it was privilege to memorize our culture.
