SANKRANTHI CELEBRATIONS IN ADITYA, PALAKOL

Gobbemmalu, Colourful Rangoli, Kite flying, fun and gaiety mark the Celebrations of Sankranthi in Aditya School, Palakollu. The director of the school Sri S.V.Raghava Reddy accompanied by the Principal and the teachers commenced the celebrations by igniting Bhogimanta (Bon fire) in the School premises. Dressed in traditional attires,students participated delightfully in the clebrations. Firstly, students dropped the garlands of Bhogi Pidakalu (Cow dung cakes) in the bon fire. The celebrations resonated with Haridasu keerthanalu and gobbemma songs. The sweet stalls arranged by the Lady teachers filled with mouth watering  pindivatalu (food items) like Bobbatllu, Kajjikayalu, Ravvaladdu, Thokkudu laddu, Putha Rekhulu, Ariselu, Jantikalu etc. The tough competitions between the Kabaddi teams enthralled the viewers. Students enjoyed themselves in flying kites.  Basavanna feets kept the children frolicking in the campus.The display of village set up stood as the center of attraction in the celebration. The Director Sri S.V.Raghava Reddy wished everyone a very happy Makar Sankranthi. The Principal N.Ayyapa Raju extended his greetings to the students.
