ECO FRIENDLY GANESH CHATURTHI @ PALAKOL ADITYA
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on 23rd of August. It is one of the most important festivals of Hindus. People install Ganesh idols under the pondals and worship them all the nine days. On the last day, they take the idols in procession through the streets with pomp and gaiety to the river side for immersion. But the idols made of plaster of paris using artificial colours are not eco friendly. They pollute the water. It’s high time now, seeing the alarming rate of environmental pollution many institutions have come forward with a campaign of GREEN GANESHA or ECO FRIENDLY GANESHA FESTIVAL.
