MAKARA SANKRANTHI FESTIVE FEAST AT APSJKP

Bommala Koluvu, Gobbimmalu, colourful Rangoli fun and frolic mark the celebrations of Sankranthi in our school. Student dressed in traditional attires taking part in a row of cultural activities enthusiastically. The chief Guest Smt.V.P.G.Vani Kumari District Inspector of schools ,Kakinada, Smt.N.Lakshmi Rajyam , Secretary Aditya group of Hostels, came together to bright up the place with ‘Bhogi Mantalu’.  A group of girls presented folklore going around the ‘Muggu’  drawn specially for the purpose. The celebrations reflected village atmosphere that included ‘bhogi Pallu sambaralu’ The whole campus turned as a mini village highlighted with the presentation of ‘rangavallulu  and haridasu keerthanalu’. Many traditional games like Kabaddi, Thokkudubilla, antyakshari, rangavallulu, one minute games, oppolakuppa etc., have been conducted for the parents in an innovative  way and they grabbed many more prizes at the spot itself. Telugu traditional and ritual food ‘Pulihora, daddojanam, kattupongali have been served to the core of parents. Sri  N.Sesha Reddy, Chairman Aditya Institutions, Smt.N.Shruthi Reddy, Director Aditya group of schools, enjoyed the festive mood. They blessed the little kids with the shower of Bhogipallu , played kabaddi along with the parents  and gave away prizes to the winners of the games. Principal Smt.B.Supraja Rani expressed that the sankranthi celebrations in schools make students acquainted of Telugu culture and tradition and it was privilege to memorize our culture.
