Sankranthi celebrations @ APSGMD on 11-1-2018

We celebrated Sankranthi in a grand scale. The traditional festival was celebrated by following all the customary activities. Parents were invited for this celebration and they turned up in great number. The entire premises turned into a festive mood with the plantain, flowers and garlands decoration. The day started with bonfire, parents along with teachers and students gather round and danced singing Gobbiallo in chorus. Bogipallu are poured on LKG and UKG children for their health. Speaking on this occasion Principal Mr. V.Rajesh said that children should learn the importance of all our religious festivals and should respect its customs and traditions. Later on all the gents’ parents mesmerized the spectators in participating competitions like Kite soaring, Kabadi and slow cycling. Lady parents actively participated in Rangoli, Anthyakshari, Mehendi and one minute activities. Children were excited to see their parent’s performance and enjoyed themselves in swinging and kite soaring. The entire program was led by High school Telugu faculty Mrs. Sri Lakshmi narrating the importance of all the events.   Finally all the participants were given prizes by the principal Mr. V.Rajesh and parents shared their valuable feedback.
