AWARENESS PROGRAM ON NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

An awareness program on the National Girl Child Day was organized by the Aditya NSS team in collaboration with the Womens Grievance Cell. Sri B.E.V.L Naidu attended the program and stated that the National Girl Child Day was celebrated on account of the oath taking ceremony of the first women prime minister of India Smt.Indira Gandhi.  He opined that Girls are not at all inferior to boys in any of the fields. They are showing their talents and capabilities competing with the boys even in the toughest criterions. He expressed his sorrow to state that Girl Child ratio is getting low day by day than the Male Child ratio due to the lack of awareness among the society in the past ten years. He also stated that girl child day is observed in order to protect the girls from illegal and immoral aspects and to gift them special rights for their safety. He joined his voice as a staunch supporter with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi for implementing schemes like “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. The Chief Guest of the program Smt.N.V.Padmavathi, Teacher, Atchampeta Upper Primary School and a resource person of Rashtra Kishori Vikasam stated that Girl Childs should be provided with better education and allowances for making a better Country. She explained the necessity of Women and Child welfare in the society. Sri N.Sesha Reddy, Chairman; Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Secretary, Aditya Educational Institutions, appreciated the NSS team of Aditya Degree College. Sri B.E.V.L Naidu, Academic Coordinator, Sri.Ch.V.V.Satyanarayana, Vice-Principal, NSS Program officers Sri T.Tejeswararao, Sri.L.Diwakararao, Womens Grievance Cell In-charge Smt.K.Bhanurekha and students participated in this program.
