AWARENESS PROGRAM ON NATIONAL FILARIA PREVENTION DAY @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

Filaria is the most dangerous disease now a days. It is a parasitic disease caused by an infection with roundworms of the Filarioidea type. This disease belongs to the group of diseases called helminthiases. It is spread by blood-feeding diptera as black flies and mosquitoes. As the society is not aware of such a dreadful disease, the students of  Aditya Degree College, Kakinada, as a part of NSS activity had organized an awareness program on the National Filaria Prevention day. Addressing the students, Sri Naidu stated that Filaria is the most common disease and it is our responsibility to be careful by taking DEC medicine issued by the government and to create an awareness among the citizens in the society.   As a part of it the NSS volunteers distributed the DEC and Albendazole medicines door to door and explained the consequences of the disease to the people of Suryanarayanapuram.

Sri N.Sesha Reddy, Chairman, Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Secretary, Aditya Educational Institutions, Sri B.E.V.L Naidu, Academic Coordinaor, Aditya Degree & P.G.Courses, appreciated the NSS teams.
