NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

National Science Day is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm on 28th of February every year in order to commemorate the invention of the Raman Effect in India by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on the same day in the year 1928. For his great success in the field of science in India, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was awarded and honored with the Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930. In his remembrance the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Electronics and Life Sciences celebrated the National Science Day honoring the portrait of Sir C.V.Raman with a garland at Aditya Degree College. Presiding over the celebrations Sri B.E.V.L Naidu inaugurated the Science fair by cutting the ribbon. Speaking on the occasion Sri Naidu stated that India, the motherland, is a basin of knowledge where great genius personalities such as Brahmaputra, Varahamihira who had already told about the gravitational force in their theories before Einstein and Newton had revealed to the world. In this aspect he also spoke about Aryabhatta, the legendary mathematician who had invented ‘ZERO’, without which the total sciences couldn’t be justified. He gave a call to the students to mould themselves to be very innovative researchers and to become great scientists as such. He wished the students a happy international science day and congratulated them for their scientific efforts.
