AWARENESS PROGRAM ON PLASTIC USAGE @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

An awareness program on demolition of usage of plastic was organized at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada under the behest of the NSS units. The program started with the Anthem of AKNU. The President of the program, Dr. B.E.V.L Naidu, Academic Director, stated that Plastic has become the major component in the past days and that is the reason for the pollution as well as the natural calamities in the environment. People could realize its effect through these awareness programs and the usage of Plastic has been decreasing day by day. It should still be carried into the society that the Globe should be a Plastic free Globe. People have to carry the cloth bags when they go to market and should use paper disposables that can be recycled rather than using the plastic ones. The Chief Guest of the program S.Surekha, President of the Darithri Rakshitha Samithi and a State member of Coastal Regulatory Zone stated that once upon a time people used to use paper covers to carry the things but as the days went on we started using the plastic bags and this had disturbed the total environment. So, she gave a call to the students to educate the society more on the effects of plastics. Later, cloth bags were distributed  to the students. The Chairman of Aditya Group of Educational Institutions, Dr.N.Sesha Reddy, Secretary, Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Vice-Principal, Sri Ch.V.V.Satyanarayana appreciated the NSS team for conducting the program.
