World Environment Day At Aditya Degree College for Women

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5^th at Aditya Degree College for Women, Kakinada. Addressing the students on the occasion, Mrs. N. Suguna Reddy, Director of Aditya Educational Institution stressed the need to promote awarness on the importance of preserving our bio diversity ,the need to identify problem related to the environment and ways to take corrective action. Students displayed placards showing 2013 environmental day. theme ‘Think, eat and save’. They planted saplings around the campus.

Presiding over the function Mr.BEVL Naidu, Academic co-ordinator of Aditya Degree and PG courses said not only spreading the message of environment awareness is enough ,but also each and everyone should actively participate in protecting our environment.

Emphasising on this year’s theme ‘Think ,eat and save’ Mrs.K.Karuna ,Principal of Aditya Degree College said that every body need to think judiciously before eating and help save the environment .She also underscored the importance of planting trees and maintain a clean and green environment. Students participated in large numbers and made the programme successfully.
