Final BBM Degree students of Kakinada Aditya Degree College visit Kakinada Port
The Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) students of Aditya Degree College, Kakinada visited the Kakinada Sea Port. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu said that it is a regular practice for BBM students at Aditya Degree College, that the students are given a chance to get practical exposure through such industrial visits. He also said that BBM students will get these chances to visit various firms, industries in order to understand the real time management situations and also to know the business opportunities and brand making etc., through interaction with main persons at the visiting industry of firm. The Final year students of BBM participated in the tour.
Kakinada Sea port is a part of Special Economic Zone. Due to it’s proximity to the gas fields and also due to Deep sea port availability Kakinada Sea port has become the hub of the Deep Sea exploratory activity. Kakinada Coast falls under the Krishna Godavari Basin which is considered to be the largest Natural gas basin in India and significant discoveries of oil and natural gas were done by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation and Reliance. Kakinada is also called as ‘Fertilizer city’ because of the presence of two biggest fertilizer producing companies i.e., Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Godavari Fertilizers. Shri Krishna Prasad, Dock Inspector of Kakinada Sea port explained about the imports and exports being happen at the port and also gave details of various products being imported and exported from Kakinada port.
The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy and the Director of Aditya Educational Institutions Smt. N. Suguna Reddy congratulated the students for participating in the industrial visit. On this occasion Shri Deepak Reddy opined that there are several opportunities available for BBM Degree students in the market and only when management students get exposure from industries and institutes, they can get better placements. He also opined that the students should learn from these practical tours.
The Chairman of Aditya Educational Institutions, Shri N. Sesha Reddy appreciated the representatives of Kakinada Sea port for extending their cooperation in making this visit a success. He gave a call to the students to make use of similar and some more learning opportunities.
