KAKINADA ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE CELEBRATED WORLD EARTH DAY

            Aditya Degree College located in Laxminarayana nagar of Kakinada celebrated World Earth Day. On this occasion, the Academic coordinator of Aditya Degree and PG Colleges, Shri BEVL Naidu opined that Mother earth is known to have more patience and that’s why any person who is having more patience is compared to ‘Mother earth’. But human being because of selfishness is looking at earth only to extract and over exploit more natural resources. India is known for it’s diversified nature of topography at the same time, it is accommodating one of the highest population in the world. Yet, human being not realizing this fact, is deeply digging/blasting or mining Mother earth for various precious resources. He also felt that the throw away culture of west has been imitated by India which is more populous country with less natural resources. He gave information about celebrating Earth day which has started from 1970 after a conference on Environment. He also said that about 192 countries in the world are celebrating Earthday throughout the world. On the occasion of World Earth Day, Shri Naidu planted saplings and gave a call to the students, faculty members and public to go for more plantation in order to protect the mother earth.

Giving the message on this occasion the secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions, Shri N.K. Deepak Reddy opined that though the awareness towards environment has been increased, the destruction of environment also increased tremendously. The negligence of human towards the free resources like air, water and land has been increased and thus leading towards destruction of earth he added. He said that at least on the occasions of such day, the people should learn to protect the earth and should think of handing over the clean environment containing air, water and land along with luxurious villas to our future generations.

The vice principal of Aditya Degree College Dr A. Maniprakash opined that recent programmes like ‘switching off the lights and fans’ thorugh ‘earth hour’ programmes are very nicely executed which will give information on saving natural resources of Mother earth. He called upon the students to spread the message of protecting the earth through planting more saplings. The faculty members, students participated in the programme.
