First year BBM+ Degree students of Aditya Degree College visit Nagarjuna Fertilizers Chemicals Limited

The First year Bachelor of Business Management Plus (BBM+) students of Aditya Degree College, Kakinada visited the Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (NFCL), Kakinada. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu said that it is a regular practice for BBM+ students at Aditya Degree College, that students are given a chance to get practical exposure through industrial visits. He opined that BBM students will get these real time management situations in the industry and also to know the business opportunities and brand making etc., through interaction with company personnel at the visiting industry. The first year students of BBM+ participated in the tour. Shri Naidu flagged off the industrial tour.

Kakinada is also called as ‘Fertilizer city’ because of the presence of two biggest fertilizer producing companies i.e., Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Godavari Fertilizers. In 1985 the NFCL started it’s functioning of production and marketing of Urea, the Nitrogen based fertilizer. Many of the farmers know the Urea as ‘Nagarjuna Urea’ only. At present NFCL is producing 1.2 million tons of Urea and also marketing the imported 0.6 million tons of Urea. Apart from Nitrogen based urea, NFCL is trying to enter into Phosphorous and Potassium related fertilizer production in near future. The HR and Training manager of NFCL Shri M.P. Ramarao has explained about the processes or Urea production and other processes of Urea marketing.

The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy appreciated the students for participating in the industrial visit. On this occasion Shri Deepak Reddy opined that there are several opportunities available for BBM+ Degree students in the market and only when management students get exposure from industries and institutes, they can get better placements. He also opined that the students should learn from these practical tours.

The Chairman of Aditya Educational Institutions, Shri N. Sesha Reddy appreciated the representatives of NFCL authorities and specially thanked Shri M.P. Ramarao for extending his cooperation in making this visit a success. He gave a call to the students to make use of similar and some more learning opportunities.
