National Statistics Day observed at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada

National Statistics Day was observed at Aditya Degree College on 29-june-2015 to commemorate   the Birth Anniversary of Father of Indian Statistics Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis.

On this occasion Academic Co-ordinator Mr. B.E.V.L.Naidu had reminded the contribution of Mahalanobis in assisting the then Prime Minister Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru in the construction of Nagarjunasagar and also drafting the First Five year plan and many more such achievements.

The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy congratulated the faculty and students for conducting such a program every year and remembering great personalities.

Ms. M. Karuna Principal Aditya Degree College for Women had asked the students to learn various statistical packages like SAS and blessed the students to good placements in MNC’s on statistics basis.

Vice Principal Dr. Mani Prakash identified the use of statistics in various fields and advised the students to have sound knowledge in statistics to obtain good career opportunities.

On this occasion several prizes were given away for the students through the hands of Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu. The details of the prize winners are as follows:
