Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated in Aditya school jkp in a devotional manner. Behalf of this festival, an ‘eco – friendly Ganesha idol’ competition has been conducted to the parents. Nearly 30 to 40 parents and their friends actively participated in a fascinating manner. They competed with each other and prepared various Ganesh idols like clay Ganesha, grain Ganesha, Vegetable Ganesha, flour Ganesha, flower Genesha, leaf Ganesha, and many more Ganeshas which are not harmful to the environment. Through this friendly competition a message is sent to the public that we supported eco – friendly idols.

The managing Director Aditya Hostels Smt Reddy madam broke a coconut and started the program. Principal, parents and faculty members kindled the holy lamp and served communal meal to lord Ganesha with pious hearts and took his blessings Children began with Ganesha Puja and followed by a devotional song by Std X students, and a recital of shlokas in Sanskrit.

            Hymns, Poems, Padyams and speeches praising lord Ganesha enthralled the hearts of everyone who gathered there. Parents were actively involved and they took the effort of making preparations revolving around the festival. One of the exuberant parents opined that this celebration brought showers of blessings of Ganesha.

            Smt. Reddy madam appreciated all the parents who made the colourful and natural Ganesh Idols. The best performers were given prizes as a token of gratitude by Reddy madam. Principal madam remarked that adoring Ganesha is of great importance in Hinduism. She assumed that one who revered him with complete devotion and certainty would be regarded with ecstasy, data, wealth and long life. The program ended with colourful chants of the students.
