SANKRANTHI CELEBRATIONS @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

The festival of Harvest namely Pongal has been celebrated at Aditya Degree College in a grand manner. The celebrations were organized by the Animation Department of Aditya Degree College. They have bought a traditional village atmosphere by making huts in the campus and decorated the ground with traditional Rangoli, pots, a Bullock cart, which carries the bags of grains, a born – fire representing lohri and mango leaves. The staff and the students attended the celebrations in the traditional wear. The lecturers of Animation along with Naidu sir have prepared the Pongal with the new harvest such as Rice grains and Jaggery. Competitions like Rangoli, musical chairs for ladies and the traditional fancy dress for gents have been conducted. All the staff participated in a very active and enthusiastic manner. The disguise of Haridas by a student and the traditional dance by the students and the staff together stood as the centre of attraction. Such events will definitely fill the minds and hearts with joy and bring the spirit of togetherness among the staff. Speaking on the occasion Sri B.E.V.L Naidu expressed his gaiety and appreciated the hard work of the students and faculty of Animation department. He also stated that such events will replenish the minds and makes them feel relaxed. Sri N.Sesha Reddy, Chairman; Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Secretary, Aditya Educational Institutions, Sri B.E.V.L Naidu, Academic Co-ordinator appreciated the Animation students and faculty of Aditya Degree College, Kakinada on this occasion.
