Students should bridge the gap in case of Mother tongue – Shri Janardhana Rao
A special awareness seminar on Mother tongue Telugu was organized at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator of Aditya Degree and PG Colleges, Shri BEVL Naidu said that as a mother tongue protection measure such seminars are being organized. Shri Naidu presided over the meeting and in his remarks he opined that even to express the pain and happy moments we have to use the mother tongue. He also questioned lack of optional teaching in mother tongue at degree level and thus opined that students should bridge the gap between the mother tongue and teaching.
The chief guest of the function and main speaker Shri Janardhana Rao spoke about the specialities of Telugu. He said that Telugu is one of the oldest languages and it has been blessed throughout eras. Since human being is busy with facilities and pleasures, he is ignoring the language which is the key of the existence of him and he has been changing the sweet taste of the Telugu language. On this eve, he explained about various poets and writers and explained about their sweetest expressions through writings. He also gave a call to the students not to loose interest on mother tongue thinking about securing few more marks.
The Secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions Shri NK Deepak Reddy thanked Shri Janardhana Rao for sharing the sweetness of Telugu. He reminded that language is an integral part as some of the states of India are divided based on the language.
The Telugu lecturer of Aditya Degree College, Shri T. Tejeswara Rao on this occasion said that if the topics are like parts of body the language is like the cloth which covers all the body parts. He also said that we cannot expect a society without language. Language is culture and thus the students should improve their language in order to improve their culture. He gave a call to the students not to neglect the language.
The Vice Principal of Aditya Degree College Dr. A. Maniprakash and the first year degree students of Aditya Degree College participated in the programme.
