ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN,KAKINADA STUDENTS WON PRIZES ON THE EVE OF WORLD TOURISM DAY.

Smt. K. Karuna, Principal of Aditya Degree College for Women,Kakinada said that the students of Aditya Degree College for Women excelled in the competitions conducted at Andhra Sahitya Parisath Kakinada. These competitions were conducted on the eve of “World Tourism Day” .

The competitions were conducted on the topic “Tourism and Community Development”. In the Essay and Elocution competitions Y.Amala Rohini of II nd B.Com and BH.S.Lavanya of IIIB.Sc won first and second prizes in Elocution.T.Rani Priyanka of IIB.Com won first prize in Essay writing.
Sri N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, Secretary, Aditya EducationalInstitutions, Smt. N. Suguna Reddy, Director, Aditya Degree Colleges congratulated the prize winners. Sri B.E.V.L. Naidu, Academic Co-Ordinator of Aditya Degree and P.G..Colleges, congratulated the students on their success. He said that Community based tourism involves the local population in the decision making process according to local priorities. The opportunity to become part of the tourism value chain actively involves host communities in the development process. Tourism thus becomes a catalyst of social cohesion, going beyond the immediate impact of job creation and its positive economic consequences and enhances, for instance, local governance capabilities which multiply the tourism impact even further.

Karuna, Principal of Aditya Degree College for Women The purpose of celebration this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide.and also she said that these programmes among create an awareness and social responsibilityto the students.

Students participated in these events under the guidance of Kum. P.Lakshmi Bhuvana, NSS Programme Officer of Aditya Degree College for Women.
