Competitions held in ADITYA on the eve of Independence Day Celebrations

Smt. P.Karuna, principal of Aditya Degree College for Women, Kakinada has informed that competitions for different events were held in their college as a part of 66th Independence Day celebrations. She said that many students have taken part in these competitions and also said as  these events inspire the patriotic spirit in the students.

Essay writing, Elocution, and singing competitions were held in these events. Games too are given place in these competitions. The topic for Essay Writing is “National Leader who inspired you”, and for elocution is “ six decades of Independence – Is India heading in the right direction“.

Sri B.E.V.L.Naidu, principal &Academic co-ordinator of Aditya degree & PG colleges has inaugurated the program and said that the students should commemorate the sacrifices of our national leaders. He has also said that the patriotic spirit of the national leaders should forever be a fresh and evocative memory in the hearts of the students. He urged that the citizens of India should honour the Indian Flag which is otherwise a symbol of sufferings and struggles of many great leaders because of whom we could able to enjoy the fruits of Freedom, and who have fought with the British to free Mother India from the chains of slavery and un-rule.

Sri.N.Deepak Reddy secretary of Aditya Educational Institutions congratulated the students who have participated in the competitions. He said that Patriotism and non violence are the key words of Indian national movement who helped us in winning freedom. He has stressed on the importance paying homage to leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and others.

P. Sireesha and P. Kameswari achieved 1st & 2nd places in Essay Writing, A. Kavya and P. Sriha got 1st & 2nd Prizes in Elocution, R. Divya and R. Pavani won 1st & 2nd prizes in singing, Priyanka and Usha got 1st & 2nd prizes in tennicoit , D. Mounica and B. L. Jyothi won 1st & 2nd prizes in Chess competitions. Prizes were given to the students on 15th August.
