THE VICTORY OF GOOD OVER EVIL DUSSEHRA CELEBRATIONS@APSTPG

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Aditya E.M. School, Tadepalligudem. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they are so learn to embrace other traditions and culture just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together, building a close bond between the children.

Keeping up this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated virtually by our students on 24th September, 2022. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated for 10 days, it also marks the end of Navaratri. Dussehra signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan , hence it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Children came dressed in traditional clothes. They enjoyed activities related to Dussehra and listening the story of Goddesses Durga.

Our Principal Mr. K. Vasudeva gave an exciting speech about the importance and history of Dussehra festival. Among all the programmes the Mahishasura Mardhini skit really gave goose bumps to the spectators. The student who played the role of Mahishasura Mardhini took a standing ovation by all the observers.
