MAKARA SANKRANTHI SOURABHALU @APSJKP

Makara Sankranthi celebrations celebrated with great zeal and vigor.  It was a colourful yet traditional celebration indeed. All the people were in a festive mood and gathered in the assembly squad and the ground to witness and enjoy the program. The stage was embellished with flowers and rangolis to mark the celebration. The idols of Godess Lakshmi was adorned in the midst with flowers and fruits. The program started with offering pooja with Poorna Kalasham by Smt.N.Lakshmi Rajyam Madam, Secretary Aditya Institutions in the presence of Director Smt.N.Shruthi Reddy Madam, Principal, Vice Principal, parents, teachers and myriad students The significance of pongal was briefed by std X girls with immense devotion. The class VIII and IX girls gave detailed information about Bhogi followed by the song  gobbiyallo. Haridasu keerthanalu and Kolatam performed by VIII and IX students echoed the premises with touch of devotional Mantra. The celebrations reflected village atmosphere that included ‘Bhogipallu sambaralu’. The whole Campus turned as a mini Sankranthi village highlighted with the presentation of ‘rangavallulu’ and ‘haridas keerthanalu’. Many traditional games like Kudi Edamaithe, thokkudubilla,  rangavallulu, one minute games, oppulakuppa, Dance Masti etc. have been conducted for students in an innovative way. This time the Sankranthi Bullock cart Telugu traditional and ritual food ‘pulihora, daddojanam, chakkerapongali, kattupongali, sunnundalu, Ariselu, Janthikalu have been served to the gathering. Smt. N. Lakshmi Rajyam Madam and Shruthi Reddy Madam showered the greeting of Makara Sankranthi. Principal Smt.B.Supraja Rani expressed that the sankranthi celebrations in school make students acquainted of Telugu culture and tradition and it was privilege to memorize our culture. Vice Principal Smt.V.Srividya expressed that the festival brings happiness to all. The entire celebration went on in a colourful and devotional way which filled everyone’s heart with joy and entertainment.
