THE EXULTATION OF CLOURS WITH PONGAL CELEBRATION’S

A festival of Harvest and Joy was celebrated at Aditya School, Srinagar with pomp and grandeur. This illustrious pongal holds great culture and tradition and marks the beginning of the auspicious Uttarayana period. In this regard the campus deem was fit for a kind. Our Aditya Srinagar campus had a natural atmosphere with adorn decorations, Rangoli designs, sugar cane stalks, hay huts and kites. Tiny tots of Aditya witnessed the high essence of Pongal celebrations. The bonfire was lit in order to burn the heaps of evil ideas. The traditional dish was also prepared by the teachers using the new harvest rice, milk and jaggery to mark pongal which means to boil or to overflow.
Principal Mr. Thota Ramesh wished students and staff. Vice principal Mrs. Vijaya Umapathi and Academic Co-ordinator Mrs. Rajini blessed our little munchkins by showering “Bhogi Pallu” over their heads. The tradition marks the elimination of evil eye upon our little munchkins and with this the vibrant day ended with laughter and joy.
