INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONS @ ADITYA DEGREE COLLEGE, KAKINADA

International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. In 1999 the UNO made a proposal to conduct International Youth day on August 12th every year. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The Celebrations had been organized under the behest of the NSS wing in Aditya Degree College, Kakinada. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B.E.V.L.Naidu said that the Government of India has been conducting these celebrations since 2000. The UNO gave a call to celebrate this day to solve the problems of the youth and to attract the attention of the youth. He also asked the students to propagate the importance of our Mother land across the Globe and said that the youth is the backbone to the development of any nation. Later, on account of National Librarian’s Day as well, Dr.Naidu garlanded the photo of Sri Ranganadhan, Father of library sciences and said that it is the necessary part, of any drive, for the spread of education through libraries. He appreciated the services of the Chief Librarian Sri.SVR Prabhakar and presented a memento on this occasion. The Aditya Educational Institutions Chairman, Dr.N.Sesha Reddy; Secretary, Sri.N.Krishna Deepak Reddy, appreciated the work of the NSS team and extended their warm wishes on account of National Librarians Day. Sri.Ch.V.V.Satyanarayana, Vice Principal; NSS program officers, Sri.T.Tejeswararao, Sri.l.Divakararao and students participated in this program.
